    Learn the subtle nuances that can make or break your business when it comes to taking full advantage of this new Amnesty Plan. Learn what the pitfalls are and how to avoid them. Learn if you actually even qualify for the program; not all FBA sellers do. Learn what possible options you have available to you not only in the Amnesty states but in the other states who are not participating. 
  •  Part 2 -- Create your customized Action Plan for what to do next in each state. Any plan you make has to be customized to each state where you have customers. The possible options include: (1) Do nothing. In some states where you have customers, this may be the absolute correct choice for your situation. (2) Historical registrations. In some states it may be best to go ahead and get registered based on the date in the past when you first had nexus and to ignore any possible amnesty offered. (3) Prospective registrations. In some states, it may be best (from an economic practicality basis) to just get registered on a going-forward basis. (4) VDAs (Voluntary Disclosure Agreements) may be appropriate in some states. (5) FBA Amnesty. And finally, in some states the new Amnesty may just be the best option. Your custom plan may include all of these elements, it all depends on what states you're in and what your circumstances are. The most important thing to know is not just which of these options to use in which states, but why using the wrong option could be ruinous.
